Wistful thinking

Holidays are such a bliss...
I wish this would never end.

X'mas was good. Dinner with friends, turkey and ham and lovely home made cakes and tiramisu.
2008 shall be good.
With you around, we will weather all storms.

Today marks our 6 months anniversary.
Thinking of it makes me feel all warm inside.

X"mas is in the air

Here's what greets you when you enter the office.

Here's the snowy man.. I have been waiitng for it to snow. But .. not a single flake.

A nice box of Famoue Amos cookies from weiying. Yums!

Wish-a-lot bear from Zul...awww.. so sweet. I was very surpise and happy!

With Weiying's Sunshine bear.

And finally... cosying up with Strawberry Shortcake (Strawberrie) and keeping each other company in this cold cold office.

Work today is not so good at work though we were fooling around...
Was in a position that is strange...
Made a mistake. Felt lousy.
well.. we will leave it for next year.
These stuffs never ends.

X'mas is fun... it leaves a kind of nostalgic feeling in me.
Longing for something...
I want to be with you. You are my love support.

We are well!

Realised that I haven't update our blog.
Lazy.
Fact is, we are lazing around in this rainy season.
Just relaxing in each other company.

I have recovered, I hope the bug don't strike again.
Hubby too... Just that now I have to watch that he doesn't go on a rampage and snack on too much chips.. err.. that applies to me too. Heh.

Ok, time for lunch and more lazing around.

work stuffs

I have done something unintentionally to hurt another person.
It wasn't deliberate, but I was told that I could have done it differently.
I felt it was the best approach.

Should I be so quick to judge?
But somehow, I don't get good vibes. Something is nagging inside....To be careful.
But well, work is after all just work. 8 hours and it should not eat you.

I need to separate work and my live.
I cannot keep thinking of who is going to back stab me, make use of me etc.
I'm wary and on my guard.
That is not healthy.

Not keen to play politics.. but who is playing whom?

Cute alert!

Source:From Here

The bug caught us!

Hubby and I are both sick.
I caught it first.. close to 2 weeks.. lost my voice.. coughing... chesty.
Yellow, Green now all clear.. phlegm I mean.

Thought Hubby can avoid it but now he's officially sick. Seen the Dr on sat. Coughing and sore throat.
we slept a lot this weekend.
2 of us with non stop coughing. sigh.
And I don't seem to be recovering. My voice is still as hoarse and I just feel this tingly itch inmy throat. Heard that this flu season affects the vocal cords.
Maybe I should speak less. hmm..

But we are so tired and we can only take the cough mixture before we sleep.. else we would be drowsy the entire day.

Take care dear friends! Good nite!

Help Me!

Hahah! Saw this toilet signage at Clarke Quay.. think next to forbidden city or somewhere there.
Found it really interesting and fun.. It really caught my attention.. wonder how's the male toilet's signage is.. hmm..
May start a toilet project or something.. some toilets are really interesting.
Well, will start it when I can.. but again.. no promise that it will be continued (heheh... I keep giving up halfway .. *opps!)

Macarons! Happiness in a box...

We have never eaten this before.. wanted to try everything at least once.
Found this shop Gobi at Central Mall.
It taste really sweet.. even hubby who have an extremely sweet tooth declared it sweet!
Is it really meant to be sweet? I read that the pastry part ( top and bottom) are made of meringue right?
They have 7 flavours, love the chocolate and white tea? or is it rose?
Anyhow, it's $15.80 for 6 pieces. Think it's quite Ex. May spend the money on some other food...
Also, I found out that Robertson Quay Hotel has a shop that sells macarons too. Wonder if it will taste different.. know their flavours are different.

Nanako Matsushima

Hubby and I both love Japan, japanese food, watching movies (DVD), lazing around and love the vastness of nature.
There's one thing which we both realised we heart after our initial accquintance.
Yes! We both admire Nanako!
Not sure if it started fro GTO .. but I know I enjoy watching her act, how she lits up the screen and how beautiful and elegant she is.. Eg, Story of one Century, Ice world..
My hubby does too. He knows the drama she acted in and we had a fun time reminiscing the good old days of Jap shows before Korean craze took over.

Anyhow, her current show is in "Liu Xing Hua Yuan 2", small part. SHe is now pregant and we can't wait for her to act in a lead role again!

All the best!

A dear friend and a very supportive boss/ supervisor has resigned from my company.
Her last day is on Wed.. 7th Nov.
My heart is very heavy and so are those that are close to her.
we know that she has a new chapter in her life, that all the good that she has done for us and the support, encouragment, love and fun that we had will never be forgotten.
This emptiness will take awhile to go away.
Looking at her empty cubicle doesn't make me feel good.
She has taught me so much in life and I will miss her.
I wish her all the best in her new role and future.
This friendship means so much to me.

Thank you.

The Heartaching Team.. with her present!

A day away at Novotel

Hubby has decided to get me away from it all. Not too far, just somewhere near the Japanese village...
Liang Court (major reno, very messy) where it houses Mediya, my all time favourite supermarket and a smaller Kinokuniya bookshop.

Checked in this afternoon, and I slept like a baby.. I was so so tired. When I woke up, it was around 645am.. I looked out of the window and saw the lights.. pretty.
Here's the comfy bed.

Desk with internet access. Yup, the reason I'm blogging real time is because I brought along my Apple. Just wanted to upload pictures and to log on Facebook if I couldn't sleep tonight. Opps. =P

Check out the pretty display of shower gel, shampoo, conditionor, bubble bath etc. Test tubes. haha! but really pretty.

Here's the view from the room when I took it in the afternon. Pool is on the 7th floor, we are on the 23rd. Whoo!
Wish I can swim....

Here's our dinner of Jap food from Mediya. We had sushi, Maki with salmon wrapped around, crab rice with fish roe. Ate my corn cup form Mac again (hehe) and I bought these mini donuts from Kobe. It's a littel crispy, not too sweet, nice biting sensation. There's also an outlet in Central (I think) Not too sure if it's own by a Jap.

There's a a type of pastry with Custard and Red bean inside. Also ate from Mediya before. There isn't any today. I really love that. There's so much filling and it just fills up the mouth.

By the way, as I was typing this post, there're fire alarm that sounded twice. One is a false alarm.. second, no announcement yet. Not very encouraging to shower and sleep leh... heh!

donuts!

Finally! The long awaited famous donuts from Donut Factory at Raffles City!
There was a shorter Q approx 15 mins to 30 mins (normally 1 to 2 hrs? Crazy!) and so he Q and he bought.
It's heavenly... so soft.. the double chocolate especially. it flows out form the centre and fills the mouth. Yummy...
I can't remember what else I ate.. I know there's Apple cinnamon, raspberry, hazelnut chocolate and some cheese flavour.

Must get.. if the Q is not ridiculously long..

Lemons are a good source of vitamin C!

Look how big the lemon is! Almost the size of a grapefruit!

Look what hubby's brother brought back from Perth! Courtesy of our sister in law. Can you imagine growing such huge lemons? Anyway, lemon water (lemon juice mixed with sparkling water) taste so good. It's a good way of detoxing and works especially well if drank early in the morning.

In despair i found Love

im glad that my hubby stayed with me.
that he did not go to Chong Qing last fri.
i have been awful.. in temper, in behavioural.
i have cried and cried and fallen into despair.

i have sneezed and sneezed and i have been really sick.
i hold on to you everynight.
you are all i have.
my pillar of strength anad support.

can't guarantee when will i get better emotionally and physically.
i feel drained and tired.
dowan to stress you further or add on strain.

but i can't hold it in.
i tried to let go but it keeps eating at me.
i'm tired.

i love you.
Thank you for your love and support.
sometimes you wonder how much and who to trust.

i just felt that it's taken away from me- its not her fault really.
but why do i feel betrayal?

i felt that i'm being abandon and the feeling doesn't go- its not her fault.
but why the emptiness remains?

maybe i should maintain a distance from people.
that it's easier if there's no emotions involved in work.
that it's purely business.
maybe i care too much ... think too much..
that i should just continue to pretend that nothing exist.
I don't feel good. and i dun like these feelings in me.
it's not healthy.
but i can't hold it in any longer.

Darkness and Gloom

It rained today. Heavy showers.
The gloom matched my mood.
Thinking of a nice hot coffee - latte?
Snuggle in bed or just watching the rain drops creating patterns on the window stills.

An escape from the dreary work.

I want to be with him, and want to be like him
His simple pleasures, the joys of life.
i'm not happy...

He is a peaceful man and he let all his anger fade away.
I love you. I love how you live your life.
i need you. you are the reasons.

Look at you, relaxed and happiness surrounds,
I love u, muak.

Gold Coast #5- A walk in the woods

Day 4- 7th Sep 2007 (Friday)
Part 1

The sun is out. The weather has taken a turn for the better. Taking advice from the tour counter at Marriot, we booked a day tour with Southern Cross 4WD Tour.

It was GREAT!!

We went up to Mt Tamborine, It's serene, and we were awe strucked by the wonders and beauties of God's creation.
Here's the both of us at the entrance of the Macdonald Rainforest Circuit. 1.4km

On this track we passes throught the rainforest observing
Strangler Fig, finally got to see how it looks like clearly. The last time we saw one was at the Glow Worm Tour on the 1st night. It was raining and was too dark to see the tree clearly.

"These plants begin life as epiphytes, when their seeds, often bird-dispersed, germinate in crevices atop other trees. These seedlings grow their roots downward and envelope the host tree while also growing upward to reach into the sunlight zone above the canopy.
An original support tree can sometimes die, leaving a "columnar tree", central core empty, of the Strangler Fig."
source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strangler_fig

This is AMAZING. We sat in a columnar tree later in the day during a tree top walk.

Eucalyptus Tree .. also known as Gum Tree
Home of Koalas

A fallen tree, uprooted. Here's our guide and fellow tour mates, teachers on school visits (fun bunch- total 5)
It really made me feel small. look at the roots.

We had scones for breakfast. Remember the scone I was telling you about during my "hands on" on the crikey stage show at Dreamworld"? Here it is!

We had BBQ beef and the chef gave me an extra piece of grilled fish (*wink).
The beef was a little overcooked, but otherwise the meal was yummy. fresh salads, strawberries and fruits and drinks such as beers are included.

After the meal, we had fun playing with real stock whip by the creek. It gave off a loud "crack" if performed correctly. Took ahile to get the hang of it. A school teacher got hit by the whip, I think that's becos he wasn't wearing the cowboy hat or something or was playing around, His face was slightly swollen, was given ice. *Ouch!

Here's the whole getup. Hat- checked. Whip- Checked. Bright smile- checked.
hehehe.

With Royd our tour guide.
Doesn't the 4WD looks cool?

I love experiencing nature. How everything is made for a reason, how a rainforest is mapped and planned to ensure that the ecosystem is blanced. It made me remember that the world is more than the evilness that is constantly hovering.
That above all, there is a maker, Someone is watching.

Gold Coast #4- Dove was in Dreamworld!

Gold Coast #3- Dreamworld .. Animals La La Land

Day 3 - 6th Sep 2007 (Thursday)

It continued raining. Today's weather was the wettest and our umbrella usage was the highest!
It kept raining and the wind was really cold.
We had a great time playing with the animals tho'.

We saw a Tiger performance.
What a huge animal. The animal keeper was feeding milk.

We stroked a baby crocodile/ alligator?

We really enjoyed feeding the baby farm animals.
Love the Lambs!
Was really happy.. They licked our hands. Die to hygiene reasons, we had to washed them thoroughly before feeding them.

That's their name..

Gandalf & Strider

Silly boy.. attempting to hump his companion after feeds.
Don't think he is fully matured to perform the act though. =D

A kid saying "HI"

An alpacas - native to South America

Kangaroo

At the Crikey Show (or something like that), I was called to the "stage and helped out with their show". Basically, I helped to mixed flour, salt and water into a gooey mixture, leave it to bake on the fireplace and voila! it becomes a scone!
That's me, wondering why I got called.. (well, there were not many people around actually.. Hahaha)

We got to taste the scones later. It was pre-made of course. Soft and light. Will see it later when I post picture from our 4WD trip later.

We went for a Vintage car ride, mini train ride, shopped around, visited the set of "Big Brother" ( Not shown in Sg) and lastly when we ran out of things to do...
We EAT!
Ice cream! yum!
