Thinking positive

I will have to keep on trying. Towards a goal, unknown journey, unknown destination.
Fear keep me stagnant, keeps me down, keeps me from daring to try, to live a life which I may be good at.
Who knows what will happen? My life belongs to Him.
He gave me this and everything I have.

Thank you God.

Makan_11: Marche

Hubby and I shared these items at 313 Somerset. And we sat next to a table of teenagers (3 girls + 1 boy) who were talking about going on diet and feeling faint etc.

Goodbye Harry

10 years ago, my then boyfriend and I walked hand in hand into GV and we watched the first Harry Potter film. I remembered we were in awe over all the special effects and I was thoroughly enchanted with the magics.

We made it a promise to watch every movie at a cinema; we watched HP in Gold Class and the last in 3D.

Today we finished the last movie and it's an end of a beautiful era. 10 years of wonderful magic. We have all grown up and I'm loving my hubby more each day :)

I tried not to cry (cos that would be silly, no?) and am resolving to collect all the DVDs. I stopped after the first 3. I will miss you guys, I really do.

*sniffles*

Something old @ Tiong Bahru

I was out with mummy the other day for a yummy lunch at the market. We had Lor Mee and I had cravings for Mee Chiam Kueh (peanuts snacks). I let mummy reminisced about living in Blk 81. She showed me her old flat and was telling  me stories about her childhood. Later, I brought her to 40 hands and we sat under the fan whilst enjoying our flat white.

What Faith can Do - I'm utterly inspired.

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it’s more than you can take
But you're stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
It’ll be alright
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

Overcome the odds
You don't have a chance
(That’s what faith can do)
When the world says you can’t
It’ll tell you that you can!

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
That's what faith can do!
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise

A day with Penguin

my heart skips a beat when I looked through the glass and saw rows and rows of books lining the wall. Really. Like seriously, sub consciously, I said "Wah!"

it's a personal collection from the owners of Books Actually, around a thousand books. There was a guided tour explaining the histories of books from each panel. I saw books from my childhood (The Chrysalides is one of them) and lots of serious fiction.  The oldest book is from 1935 and there's books from different genre and collectible series. It's simply amazing. I can't imagine collecting books, because if I start, I would never stop and I can't, because I have no space. Unless I rent a storage space to keep all my books!

I can't wait to get my house and built a nice little house for my books. heh.

Ron and I were discussing which books that we are likely to collect. Books that we liked. We were tied between Alice in Wonderland and The secret garden. I like both. And I think I have 3 books of AIW (just because) and 1 TSG. I love beautiful covers and illustrations. So which title should  I concentrate on? And the owners of BA have about 20 books each of Animal Farm and books by an author I can't seems to remember right now.

Anyhow, I'm hunting for books by Enid Blyton too.

Look what we found in East Coast (it's on the corner of Joo Chiat/East Coast)! Mooshi Bakes! I got really excited because it's another of my namesake. so cute! And I was attracted to the decor. We tried the bananarama (too little fillings) and cream puff (not worth the price of $3.90, Tampopo Deli is better).

Will come by again and try the gooey bun and chicken pie (hopefully it will taste good).

The Little Bookshop @ East Coast

Hanging out at the Little Bookshop with hubby is a relaxing thing to do. Sitting with a glass of mango smoothies and a vanilla milkshake and chilling out with books around us, we basked in the sunshine of East Coast.

It is recommended to join the membership to enjoy the full privileges but since we are Westerner/ central people,it doesn't make much sense for us to get the membership and spend 45mins to an hr traveling there just to chill!

Will drop by if I'm around the vicinity.
