Update: 15 Mar 09

It has been a week since I last fell sick. I'm not very much better. The nose has stopped dripping but the fatigue and feverish feeling is still here. I keep feeling cold then breaking out into sweats at night and often get cold and feverish. My body aches and I'm so tired, just tired.

Finishing my course of antibiotics but I till have the "stuffy" sound. =(

Celebrated mummy's birthday last Fri at GWC- Imperial Restaurant. The food was so good even though I had to order only steamed and non deep fried stuffs. Can't wait to eat there again.

haven't been well

was feeling sick on and off and finally it came crashing. Now home, huddled under a blanket and using tissue papers like there's no tomorrow.

My body aches, I hurt everywhere and I'm generally quite miserable.

Been a little upset lately because I spoke up against something I thought didn't sound right and did not do. The person's attitude towards me changed and wasn't as friendly towards me as when I first joined. I try not to be sensitive and get affected but I think it's pretty obvious. Anyway, I wasn't convinced by her explanation over the issues but I didn't want to talk anymore. Just act stupid and let the days pass me by.

I just don't feel connected to anyone or to the tasks there.
I need a purpose.

Tigger & Duckie

As usual, I must start off with a nice cup of coffee. Promoting for Nescafe, the 30 cents drink is very nice, just small. I never knew vending machine coffee can taste good too. It's just along the corridor next to the office.

Here's me 2 cute friend, Tigger & Duckie to bring some cheer to my desk.

I get free food very often, because of meeting or some event or other. Good for lazy or busy days where the staff canteen seems so far away!

Oncology is very new to me. There are alot of terminology to learn and alot alot of things to read! Good to keep learning but brain do get confused when there are alot of things to read and understand. Reading new protocols do sometimes make me feel stupid and frustrated and I get upset when  I can't remember the procedures, processes and the many things that I keep trying to remember... oh gosh. Just don't like to feel stupid. Haha. Stressed!
And yes.. case notes are now thick with squiggly handwriting so eyes do get tired at the end of the day.

But I'm enjoying it so far. =)

Happy 牛 Year!

Our little decor  on the front door

so CNY is here is another 2 days. Cleaning has been done and a lot of goodies has been bought and finishing!! Will be having reunion dinner with in-laws tomorrow and will start the Pai Nian tradition of visiting relatives.

Also, will be celebrating ah ma's birthday on and I have ordered a durian cake from Emicake.

Lastly, thinking of going to Sentosa for their annual flower festival. Definitely a crowded affair. The weather has been rather hot these couple of days, I hope the flowers would not wither so soon.

Hunnie's lovely Day 16Jan09

It was lovely, the weather was great. There were happiness all around.
For the first time in my life, I went on stage to do the yum seng thingy and actually roar along with the rest at the jie mei's table.
Maybe it was the alcohol... *hicks*
More pictures here.

2009

2009  has waltzed in and it's now 12 days into the new year!
so far, it has been good. We ushered in New Year with Ron and family, managed to see the fireworks (the tall kind) from afar (must really stretched out). Had a lovely dinner with Miz and family on New Year's day and played with Mackie and Tracy.

We went to stay at Fraser Place for 2 nights over that weekend. It was big, 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen and a nice bathtub. I didn't sleep well the first night though. It was nice and quiet, a resort in a city with free shuttle buses into town and my fave Liang court just a corner away. The breakfast they provided was great, love the scrambled eggs!

CNY songs are being repeated everywhere. Unlike X'mas songs which are actually soothing, CNY songs gives me a headache.. it actually make me wanna shop faster and get out! Haha.
I met up with HC and Purplecreme last week and the lunch cum coffee session was satisfying! Also met Hunnie with Z  who is getting skinnier but won't admit so! Afterwards, we had dinner with Gav and Hubby at Safra Mt Faber's Japanese restaurant.
Went for a haircut and hair colour last week with SY too.

Hunnie will get married this Fri and it would be nice. =)

All snuggled up and still eating!

So X'mas has passed and the new year is coming in 3 days. I'm still having the X'mas mood because we are still finishing up our X'mas lamb!

Yeap! Lamb stew and lamb with mixed peas for Fri and Sat respectively. Lamb tasted very good stewed and fried with Red wine, rosemary, basil and thyme. But too much lamb makes me feel heaty, so we are having a rest today and will have tofu instead.

Anyhow, X'mas was good, we had a party at Ron's place and had turkey and honey ham and lots of veggies and baby potatoes and baked fish. Afterwards, we took a bus to HV and had me a cup of Toffee Nut Latte and him Dark Cherry Mocha Frappacino whilst stock last till end of X'mas season.

The X'mas jingles are now replaced by Xin Nian ge over radio waves and CNY goodies will be everywhere. I'm not really looking forward to CNY but I don't mind buying nice Cow related decos and ang pows and eating pineapple tarts from Prima Deli and Prawn rolls from Bread Talk.

And there will be a wedding in 19 days!

Tiger?

A pretty cat resting above the letter box in the opposite block. Look at her tail, resembles a tiger's.

Merry Christmas!

X'mas eve evening was spent having dinner with hubby and mummy. Hubby bought a lamb leg and I cooked vegetable. Dinner was nice and cosy and it was raining.. really cold and windy. Let your imagination run 10x and the raindrops will be transformed into snow. Haha.

Lamb with garlic and mint sauce.
Broccoli, asparagus, baby potatoes, baby corns and carrot bathed in margarine and dill.

Here's a little card I received from SPCA, it's cute and made me laugh. Pay attention to the sheep and turkey.

Have a lovely Christmas with your friends and loved ones!
Spread the joy of LOVE and the birth of CHRIST, our Lord Jesus.

Merry Christmas!
