Melbourne 2013: The Great Ocean Road, Port Campbell National Park

London Bridge

The Razorback

The Twelve Apostles

A quick destressing post amidst my preparation for next semester handouts. Had a lovely though sickly trip to Melbourne last week Great weather at the Great Ocean Road even though I was down with sniffles and fever.

Happy that we managed to see the Twelve Apostles (there's only 9 in actual fact) and that's one item off my bucket list.

Very touched that we fulfilled mummy's wish to visit Australia and this is also to celebrate her 60th Birthday!

More pictures soon :)

Weird Looking plant. Not sure of the name but I have never seen it before .. It secretes and digests insects I suppose.

Beautiful Landscape

Visited Garden by the Bay on the 12th Oct (Friday) for Community work with the elders for Elder Day care. Beautiful day for a visit, the elderly lady whom I was with had a great time and lots of pictures were taken. Love to visit it again.

Makan_12: Brunetti Pastries and Drinks

These selection adds up to about SGD 35. Pretty expensive. The smaller pastries on the right is about SGD 2.75 each.

Peach and Pear Cheese Crumble. SGD 10 (EX!)

Love the tiles

Sugar and Tiles and all things nice :)

Had a day off yesterday and went out with hubby for medical appointment and errands. Popped by Tanglin Mall and decided to try this place.
Honestly, I wouldn't go back again for the pastries and drinks. I don't like how my Ice Cafe Latte was made and the cakes were just so so. Maybe it's just my cheese cake. But I would like to try their meals. It looks reasonable and it's a nice place to hang out to relax.

Makan_12: Chock Full of Beans and a smily Face!

Went to visit granny on Sat and decided to pop by this little cafe as it was featured in the papers. Love the vibe of the place, very nice place to hang out on a Saturday. Thankfully it wasn't crowded and the 3 of us mansged to get a nice seat.

We shared the Chicken salad, Strawberry Shortcake and I had a Ice Latte while mummy had the green ginger tea.

Wishing that it wasn't so far away.... not too sure when I will return.

Makan_12 : Tiong Bahru Bakery

Apple crumble, Lemon tart and chocolate croissant. And a glass of Iced Latte

Zesty Lemon Tart

Olive Bread and Guacamole Bread. Ice Coffee with milk

Finally made a trip to Tiong Bahru bakery at 56 Eng Hoon Street to check out the fuss. Really crowded on a Sunday afternoon but the friendly waiter ensured that we got a seat pretty fast.

So many stuff to try. Would like to go back again and try their sandwiches. Pricey though at $8.
Overall the pastries are good. Environment can get pretty noisy.
