our quiet getaway

Just 3 days into our domesticated life, we headed off into a quiet suite of lush vegetation, charming english scones, antique beds and nice tubs for a well deserved soak right in the heart of Singapore.
A complimentary room stay from our wedding. the luxury of checking in at 530pm till 24 hrs later.

walking into the room and we were greeted with a basketful full of fruits. Dragon fruit, grapes, oranges, granny smith, grapefruit and a box of chocolates.
here's looking out of the antique window from the dining room into the bedroom..

The huge comfy bed!

Another antique! Cupboard that houses a TV (small, not very good.. around 21 inch) ands a Bose CD/ radio player (reception not very clear, and pity we didn't bring our CDs)

Always love a relaxing soak...

guess what does this contains? i thought it was jus for deco.. only till later did i rrealise that it was full of bath salts!

Complimentary chocolates.

we had a good rest.
everything is so seculded..

It's tomorrow!

We had our rehearsal today.
I'm happy, I'm touched.
I can even cry. You looked so in love.
I am in love with you too.
You are my star.

You know you mean so much to me.
Just that it got difficult for me when I have to write it in vows.
It became so long.
I will make it short and simple.
But you know what i mean.

I'm nervous about tomorrow though.
It looks like it's going to rain.

2nd of June

According to chinese tradition, the bride and groom, together with the bride's mum has to distribute cakes with the invitation cards to each relatives. The relatives applies to the bride's side.

Instead of giviving out cakes, my mum decided to gives the traditional "marry daughter's biscuits" literal translation (Jia Nu er Bing). The is what the cantonese used to give traditionally.
Therefore we got the biscuits from Tai Thong cake shop from Mosque St- Chinatown. It is really a step back into the 60s. Everything looks very vintage.

Check out the receipt!

Counting down...

Had many discussions with the respective people involved with the wedding.
Met them last Fri, wasn't satisfied with the 3 of the layouts. They took our feedback and redo them.
Went down today. Spent almost 1.5 hours in discussion. Very professional, very detail oriented. Hope the album looks good. Happy with the photos and layouts I've seen so far. He's happy too!

Will be meeting Tom to finalise card printings, flower decorations and all the nitty gritty details.
What else....

Will be delivering cards and wedding biscuits to relatives next week.

Busy Busy.
