Foot in his mouth

Yesterday I had a visit from a HDB guy regarding some noise investigations around the block. He doesn't know where the noise is from. He asked what are we doing with the utility room, do I pound stuffs in early morning and whether I played with marbles *er ??!!?* I told him cannot be, there are no kids here.

Anyway, he proceeded to ask who lives in the room and asked some other questions I can't remember. I only felt that he was weird and ma y be a con when he left. Then a realisation hit me that I'm careless! I didn't take take down his badge ID and full name! I remembered his surname though, so I called HDB and verified that he is not a con.

Ok, the most annoying part about the whole visit was when he was leaving...

Him: (looks at my family picture on the wall) is that your sister?

Me: That's me

Him: oh... looks different... with the glasses (I was wearing glasses at home)....(and almost a notch softer)..... you put on weight...

Me:.................... what the ....??!?!?!!?

Arrghhh!

Building a new garden?

These 2 pics were taken sometime in Apr. Doesn't look like it needed much work isn't it?

The one on the left was taken on 28Nov, you can see that the lamp was taken down and moved maybe 3 meters to the left of the pre existing location. That took a lot of digging by the workers to locate the wire buried in the ground and to realign it to the new location. (3Dec)

There is not really a reason to blog about this except to ask, why in this time of economic downturn is there a need to destroy a perfectly good wall, sawed down a teenage tree and to dig up a perfectly working lamp? I'm sure there are places where the money in this town can be put to better usage. But nooooooo... it has to be this little quiet area. We have been guessing what is it they are building.. a little walkway?

Anyway, I'm thankful that the drilling (they drilled for about 4 days to destroy the wall and another few days for the other corner near the stairs) is over (fingers crossed). I'm eager to see what is being built.

I have recovered, I hope the bug don't strike again.
Hubby too... Just that now I have to watch that he doesn't go on a rampage and snack on too much chips.. err.. that applies to me too. Heh.

work stuffs

I have done something unintentionally to hurt another person.
It wasn't deliberate, but I was told that I could have done it differently.
I felt it was the best approach.

Should I be so quick to judge?
But somehow, I don't get good vibes. Something is nagging inside....To be careful.
But well, work is after all just work. 8 hours and it should not eat you.

I need to separate work and my live.
I cannot keep thinking of who is going to back stab me, make use of me etc.
I'm wary and on my guard.
That is not healthy.

Not keen to play politics.. but who is playing whom?

The bug caught us!

Hubby and I are both sick.
I caught it first.. close to 2 weeks.. lost my voice.. coughing... chesty.
Yellow, Green now all clear.. phlegm I mean.

Thought Hubby can avoid it but now he's officially sick. Seen the Dr on sat. Coughing and sore throat.
we slept a lot this weekend.
2 of us with non stop coughing. sigh.
And I don't seem to be recovering. My voice is still as hoarse and I just feel this tingly itch inmy throat. Heard that this flu season affects the vocal cords.
Maybe I should speak less. hmm..

But we are so tired and we can only take the cough mixture before we sleep.. else we would be drowsy the entire day.

Nanako Matsushima

Hubby and I both love Japan, japanese food, watching movies (DVD), lazing around and love the vastness of nature.
There's one thing which we both realised we heart after our initial accquintance.
Yes! We both admire Nanako!
Not sure if it started fro GTO .. but I know I enjoy watching her act, how she lits up the screen and how beautiful and elegant she is.. Eg, Story of one Century, Ice world..
My hubby does too. He knows the drama she acted in and we had a fun time reminiscing the good old days of Jap shows before Korean craze took over.

Anyhow, her current show is in "Liu Xing Hua Yuan 2", small part. SHe is now pregant and we can't wait for her to act in a lead role again!

Hi! Thank you so much to all of you for celebrating my birthday. IT WAS FABULOUS!!!!
I love it! i appreciate it! and i'm touched by it all..

wanted to add pixs and tell story. unfortunately M1 Vodafone server SUCKS bigtime! took us 3 to 4 hours just to install and reinstall the programe and we have to disk repair etc...

angry with M1 cos they cheat me of my time, faith that i had placed in them and no this.... cheated $ off my cell phone. cheater! and to think i have been with you for 10 freaking years! betrayal and anger.now it's in the middle of the night and im furious!

since I finally got on... i have to say Thanks for remembering me! and on a happy note, will be off to Queensland - Gold coast tonight!
little womanly issues to piss me off further, im looking forward to days of relax and days of warner bros and dream world.. and their cool cool weather. i need a rest. but packing supposedly relaxing stresses me when all things dun go well..

We are going to Gold Coast for our honeymoon!
It was a long long wait of 3 hrs just to get attended to.
Our mistake, we wanted to get a discount and thought that by going to the fair at Millenia walk, it would be settled within an hr. Oh no, it's small, the Q is long and the booking system are not linked to the main shop!
so in order not to waste anymore time, we went down to people's park and to get eerything settled at the main branch.

Horrors!

The Q is LONGER!!! there's a numbering system. It's like a polyclinic!!!!
we reached at ard 1730, took a no. 2276. the no. on the screen flickered.. 2220...
gosh...
at 1830... the number crawls to 2236...

i'm going to die....

the hubby is patient.. i'm not. i started to fidget.
then he suggest.. listen to your ipod. i resist (dunno why), just being an irritant.

at 1900... jumps to 2254...
yay.. it's reaching...

i took out the ipod, he went to buy muah chii, we listened to "Beautiful worship".
i felt better. calmer and feet started tapping to the beat.

finally at 1930 ... its our turn.
yes.. the date is avaible. i'm sorry there's only 2 who are booked. we need 15 to go. it's not confirmed...
we will inform you 2 weeks before the departure dates. we can let arrange for another location where there is a confirmed group ... nooooo..... we need a confirmation.

and so we wait, a nice little albeit blur girl attended to us. she is so cheerful and happy. think it rubs off me.
we got our dates, choose our room. settled the cost.
not too much of a price difference as we wanted to extend the trip.
reminds me why we didn't like joining tour groups.
hard to get confirmation unless it's for sell out destinations during popular dates.
otherwise, we have to wait with bated breath for confirmation.

and i'm sorry, dearie for being a grouch.
